Here Rachel can be seen doing the traditional pushup while using push handles for comfort and to get a deeper range of motion. This exercise is excellent for toning and developing upper body strength. Notice the form with the straight back and level shoulders, a sign of excellent strength and control.
The push up on the stability ball is for added challenge. This helps to train the body's core strength and stability. The added benefit of exercises like these is that more stabilizing muscles are engaged and that there is a higher caloric burn. |
